The is-phone softphone uses seamless integration into IBM
Lotus Notes 6/7/8, Sametime 7.5.1/8 and Microsoft Outlook
2003 & 2007 to extends the respective messaging and
real-time collaboration platform by adding telephony and
video functionality. The is-phone delivers SIP-based
connectivity for PC-to-Phone, Phone-to-PC and PC-to-PC
communication.
is-phone is uniquely positioned through its standalone
connectivity and pure client-based architecture, enabling
voice and video functionality through direct IP PBX
connectivity and secure connections, even if the messaging
and real-time collaboration servers are not available. To
deploy and use is-phone no additional server or back-end
infrastructure is needed.
is-phone is fully presence enabled and changes the respective
presence status where available. Furthermore the is-phone
software development kit allows the integration of telephony
and video functions into the workflow and other applications.
